How we got here

Five Tuesday evenings on the wheel. Wedging, centering, pulling, trimming, glazing, firing. You go home Week 5 with six finished pieces you actually made. Eight seats. Aprons and clay included; bring an old towel.

The foundation. Getting the clay ready and pinned to the wheel head.

The first pull
Opening the ball. Making walls. The muscle memory of a straight cylinder.

Trimming + finishing
How a mug becomes a mug. Feet, handles, decorative marks.

Glazing + firing
What survives the kiln. Color choices. Pieces go home Week 5.
